The Daily Mail referred to Pippa Middleton’s heavy make-up when she attended a recent charity event, but perhaps it should have been her brows they noticed.  Pippa does seem to favour the black kohl on the inner rim of the eye look, but if she really wants to enhance her eyes she should pay some attention to her untamed brows. Your eyebrows frame your whole face and are your second most important facial feature.  The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister has a lovely face that is being dominated by her  masculine brows. Kate also has thick, dominant brows but you can see that they have been groomed.

Pippa appears to do nothing to her brows and if you saw only her brows, you would assume they belong to a man!

Pippa could seek professional advice on how to shape her brows or she could try using an eyebrow stencil. Supermodel Naomi Campbell appears to have shaved off her eyebrows as she shows off her age-defying looks on the cover of  ‘Lurve’ magazine.

Though her brows appear to be shaved off,  it is more likely they were either dyed blonde or it is a Photoshop effect, the Daily Mail reported.

Either way, the bizarre look, teamed with heavy eye make-up, is hardly likely to catch on.

I think that Coleen Rooney may have had her eyebrows tattooed in because to me they look like a different shape than before.

If you are going to make a dramatic change like this you have to be really careful as it can completely alter your appearance.

Coleen’s are a great shape but personally I think they are a bit too dark. If you need a guide for a good shape you could try eyebrow stencils at around £12.  These will give you a good shaping guide and come with tips on how not to over-pluck.

Aside from the fact that Danielle was giving out information on eyebrow stencils, what interested me was the fact that she also stated that Coleen had nicely shaped eyebrows.   What is it from the image below that makes one better than the other?  Are perfect eyebrows darker than “normal” eyebrows?    Is there that much difference in the brow shape?   Surely eyebrow shape is also dependent on bone structure and other factors? 

Whatever the answers, Coleen’s latest brow makeover is certain to.. raise some eyebrows (sorry, pun intended).

 Although there have been many brow styles over the years, the model brow is a classic shape of medium thickness with a medium arch.

Skinny and straight or bushy and unkempt brow styles come and go, but a classic brow shape always looks good and will suit any face.

How to create a perfect brow

1.) Your brow should start (A) at the inner corner of your eye.

2.) The arch (B) should be above the outer rim of the iris of your eye.

3.) The end of your brow (C) should be in line with the outer corner of your eye. Make sure the end of your brow does not fall lower than the start of the brow as this has the effect of dragging your face down, creating a droopy, ageing look.

Even if you have over-plucked, skinny brows, you too can achieve the model brow. Firstly, if it will, allow your hair to grow back. In the meantime, use an eyebrow stencil to fill in the shape of a model brow. Use brow powder or  matte eyeshadow with a brush to create soft, natural looking brows. Using a brow pencil will create a bolder brow.

If you need to pluck your brows to achieve the model shape, a good time to do this is after having a shower/bath while your pores are open. This will minimize any discomfort felt when plucking. Use a brow stencil to draw in the shape first, then pluck any stray hairs that are not within the stencilled shape. After plucking, use aloe vera or witch hazel to reduce any redness.
